"The image features actress, Alanna Ubach. The body painting is by Joanne Gair who is best known for her iconic Vanity Fair cover with Demi Moore. It took about 9 hours in make-up and the original body painting was flawless. I shot several frames of Alanna that looked great, but the vibe was too “clean”. I grabbed a spritzer bottle and a towel and started to smear Joanne's beautiful work. She seemed a bit shocked at first but, in the end, agreed that the distressed look was perfect for the shot.
